25th Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Sunday, 24 September 2017 / Published in Universal Prayers

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Presider: God’s ways are not our ways. Because his justice and generosity exceed our standards, we can come to him in prayer, knowing that he listens and that he will act.

  • For all Bishops and all the pastors who serve God’s People, we pray.
  • For nations that are in conflict that they resolve their differences and not to resort to bloodshed, we pray.
  • For those nations where justice and freedom are denied to working people, we pray.
  • For the victims of natural disaster, especially the people of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands who are suffering, that the Lord comfort them and may they be helped quickly with their every need, we pray.
  • For all our catechists in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa and all the teachers in the Commonwealth both in public and private schools, that they may faithfully draw out the meaning of our faith for life in the modern world, and impart true knowledge to their students, we pray.
  • For our sick, the recently deceased of our community and all those remembered in this celebration, we pray.
  • For those who have died in Christ,  we pray.

Presider: Loving Father, you are near to all who call on you. Welcome our prayers with your generous care, and show us once more your abundant compassion. We ask this, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
