26th Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Presider: With contrite and humble hearts, we stand in the presence of God. Let us respond to these intentions with the humble and honest prayer our Father welcomes.

  • That the Church maybe a sure haven for sinners and outcasts, we pray.
  • That those we elect to office may protect widows, orphans, aged folk and the homeless, we pray.
  • We continue to pray for  the victims of natural disaster, especially the people of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands who are suffering, that the Lord comfort them and may they be helped quickly with their every need, we pray.
  • For all Citizens of the CNMI as they celebrate Cultural Heritage Month, that they choose the hidden treasure of personal faith and prayer, we pray.
  • That we may be free from spiritual pride and that believers may deepen their prayer and penance by meditating on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, we pray.
  • For the sick and  those who suffer, that God’s love bind their wounds and human compassion ease their pain, we pray.
  • That Christ will grant eternal peace to our dear departed ones, we pray.

Presider: Father, you search our hearts and discern our needs, before we ask. In your mercy, hear our prayer, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
