28th Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Presider: God invites us to his banquet of life. Let us ask this generous Father for all our needs.

  • That the Church on earth may thrive and grow and draw many to the feast of the kingdom, we pray.
  • That our leaders, especially our elected officials, find a just solution to the problems facing the Commonwealth, we pray.
  • For our Bishop and the priests of the Diocese of  Chalan Kanoa who will be on retreat this week, that they be renewed and refocused so that they will continue to faithfully serve the Lord, and His Holy people, we pray.
  • For those whose lives have been tragically altered by the destructive wildfires in California, may God give them grace and strength as they move forward with their families and communities, we pray.
  • For the youth of the Diocese, that the prayers of our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph will guide them to a deeper relationship with Jesus, and that they live out the love of Jesus in their midst, we pray.
  • For women and men who are victims of domestic violence, may God help them free themselves from abuse and live safely in the peace of Christ and that all of us may value the true dignity and show our concern, care and love, we pray.
  • For those who suffer, that God’s love bind their wounds and human compassion ease their pain, we pray.

Presider: Most generous Father, you call us to share your bounty. As we pray for others, help us to bring them with us to that banquet set forth by your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
