Presider: Sisters and brothers, as we mark this World Mission Sunday, with the theme, “Mission at the heart of the Gospel”, we pray that all Christians, by their way of life, will give witness to Jesus Christ.
- For those members of the Church who are called to prophetic witness against inhuman crimes and injustices, we pray.
- For the leaders of nations who are entrusted with “what belongs to Caesar”, we pray.
- For those who have lost a desire for the things of heaven, that they may regain the fervor of faith and the joy of the sacraments, we pray.
- Today on World Mission Sunday, we pray that Missionary Activity of the Church, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and our prayerful support and financial assistance, the message of the Gospel will reach all peoples of the world, we pray.
- For the sick, especially those who are dying, that the Lord of mercy will give them speedy recovery and patience in their suffering, we pray.
- For the dead, that, as servants who have done their duty they may be welcomed into eternal life, we pray.
- For those who suffer, that God’s love bind their wounds and human compassion ease their pain, we pray.
Presider: Lord of all history, we place our requests in your care, knowing that all peoples, times and events are within your provident plan. Grant the prayers of your people, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
