- For peoples shrouded in clouds of war, for nations constrained by poverty, we pray.
- For unity among Christians, that man-made divisions may be healed through truth and charity, we pray.
- May our parish have a fruitful year in which prayer, friendship, and the works of charity, mercy and justice flourish, we pray.
- For all assembled people in this church, that the one Eucharist will strengthen our unity and solidarity, we pray.
- May the sick, depressed and lonely find through this Feast Day the all-embracing love of Jesus Christ who came for the people of all nations and that the Lord of mercy will give them speedy recovery and patience in their suffering, we pray.
- For the faithful departed, that Christ will be their true light and salvation, we pray.
