Presider: When we were dead in our sins, God brought us to life in his Son, lifted up on the Cross for us. Through that crucified Redeemer, let us draw near to our loving Father.

- For men and women who show that they prefer darkness to light in their evil deed, we pray.
- For those among us who are putting off making their confessions because of fear, we pray.
- For the sick so that they experience the healing power of Christ, we pray.
- For all who have passed from this life into the mercy of God, we pray.
Presider: Loving Father, our petitions are numberless, but we know your mercy is eternal. We unite them to the infinite sacrifice of Jesus lifted up for us, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
