Presider: Christ brings us the words of eternal life, and we believe. With that faith, we can confidently beseech our Father in heaven to hear the prayers of this community.
- For the Vicar of Christ on earth, that there may be harmony between the chief pastor and his people, we pray.
- For those who legislate for us, that they may respect and promote the rights of the family, we pray.
- For separated spouses, that, through Jesus, they may rediscover forgiveness and reconciliation, we pray.
- For the Fathers who are celebrating Fathers’ Day, that they be given the strength and health to work to support their families and that they be guided by the example of St Joseph, husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus, we pray.
- For our sick that they be granted speedy recovery, and those who mourn for their dead that they be consoled by our loving care, we pray.
- For the souls of the departed we remember in this Mass, we pray.
Presider: Father, your Son has the words of life; we have nowhere to go but to him. Our prayers are offered in his name, the Lord of the Church, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
