Presider: The Lord is gracious and just, a compassionate God who protects and saves his people. Let us pray to him, trusting in his Christ, the Son he gave up for our salvation.
- For our Holy Father that he may keep the Church in the faith of Peter, we pray.
- For our elected representatives, that they may respect the right to life of the unborn, the helpless and the aged, we pray.
- For the people of Rota and Guam who are suffering from the destruction of Typhoon Manghut, that we may be generous to those who were affected, we pray.
- For all people in abusive relationships. May they experience God’s love and know that the abuse is not God’s will. May they find in our parish community the courage and support to seek help, and safety, and free themselves from domestic violence, we pray.
- For sick and the members of our community who suffer, that they may know the Son of Man who “was destined to suffer grievously”, we pray.
- For the souls of the departed we remember in this Mass, we pray.
