The Catholic Charities Appeal is the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa’s single and most important fundraiser which is held during Lent season, because it is a time for alms giving.
The funds raised are first prioritized to support priestly vocations,
candidates who are at the seminarian level and continuing education or Graduate School for the priest incardinated into the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa. As you know, the Diocese is in need of priestly vocations.
The second priority, if funds permit, supports ministries within the Diocese, such as the Catholic Youth Ministry, Vocations, Family Life, Social Justice and others.
