Last episode, we opened our discussion on faith and described it as a theological virtue and an assent of the mind. Continuing on, Bishop Ryan, Fr. Melvin, and Fr. Kenneth elaborated on that and then brought up another important aspect of faith which is the submission of the heart and will. Submission is the ability of our heart to take risks even though our mind is full of uncertainty. It is our willingness to accept the things that we know we can never fully understand. We leave room for God’s grace to come in and make sense of our realities. It is never going to be easy but the fruit of a faith-filled life is holiness, which all of us are called to be.
