Congratulatory Message of His Excellency, Most Rev. Ryan P. Jimenez, DD

08 November 2024

The Very Reverend Father Charlie Borja

Apostolic Administrator

Diocese of Chalan Kanoa

P.O. Box 500745

Saipan, MP 96950

Subject: 40th Anniversary of the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa

Dear Fr. Charlie, Brother Priests and Deacons, Religious Sisters, Staff, and Parishioners,

Greetings of Christ’s peace!

Today, November 8, 2024, I remember you all in my morning prayer as the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa celebrates its 40th anniversary. We have been blessed as a diocese in so many ways. Yes, there have been many challenges over time but God’s love and care for the people of God in Chalan Kanoa is more than any difficulty encountered in the past.

This morning, I will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at the Pigo Cemetery in Guam to remember deceased clergy, deacons, and religious in the Archdiocese of Agaña. I will also remember the late Bishop Tomas Camacho and the many priests, sisters, and deacons who served in our beloved diocese.

I look forward to celebrating with you on November 25 and 26 in Saipan. I continue to pray for the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, especially as we all wait for the appointment of a new bishop, which, God willing, will soon take place.

Congratulations and God bless you all!

United in prayer,

/s/ Ryan P. Jimenez

Archbishop of Agaña

President, Episcopal Conference of the Pacific
