The Diocese of Chalan Kanoa is still buzzing with energy and faith following a tremendously successful Diocesan Youth Camp 2025, which took place on Saturday and Sunday, November 8-9, 2025, at Mount Carmel School!
Under the inspiring theme, “Young Pilgrims, Bearers of Living Hope” (1 Peter 1:3), our youth spent the weekend deepening their faith, building community, and discovering their role in the Church.

Weekend Highlights
Day 1 kicked off Saturday afternoon with enthusiastic arrivals and a high-energy opening program and animation songs. The afternoon session provided essential spiritual nourishment with a powerful input session led by Fr. Honorio V. Pangan, Jr. of the Archdiocese of Agaña, Guam, focusing on the core meaning of hope in their young lives. The day transitioned beautifully into the spiritual heart of the event, the Anticipated Mass at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, with Most Rev. Romeo D. Convocar, D.D. as the Main Celebrant, and Rev. Fr. Honorio V. Pangan, Jr. as the Homilist, followed by a joyful dinner and a lively Social Night held at the MCS Covered Court, allowing the participants to bond and celebrate their faith together.
Day 2 began early with Morning Praise to dedicate the day to the Lord, followed by a communal breakfast. The energy soared with the highly anticipated Amazing Race, which challenged the youth both physically and spiritually, leading to an important session for processing and deepening the insights gained throughout the camp. The weekend concluded with the Closing Program, marked by final animation and heartfelt closing remarks.
A Commitment to Hope
This camp was a beautiful manifestation of the future of our local Church. We extend our immense gratitude to Fr. Honorio V. Pangan, Jr., all the dedicated youth leaders, and the countless volunteers who made this event possible.
We pray that our young pilgrims continue to be Bearers of Living Hope in their schools, families, and communities!
