4th Sunday of Easter B II – Good Shepherd Sunday

World Day of Prayer for Vocations & Religious Life

Presider: Jesus is that good shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep. Let us pray to the Father, remembering the selfless love of his beloved Son.

  • For Pope Francis whom God has appointed as shepherd of the Universal Church, and for Bishop Ryan, appointed shepherd of the Church of the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, that they may be sustained by the Holy Spirit in their ministry of service, we pray.
  • For the unity of all Christians, that there may only be one flock and one shepherd, we pray.
  • That on this Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness month, all of us may value the true dignity and show our concern, care and love for all children, we pray.
  • For those who are called to the consecrated life, may they be faithful witnesses of God’s love. May others be inspired to live their baptismal commitment by professing the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, we pray.
  • On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, we pray for more vocations to the priesthood, the deaconate and the religious life in the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, we pray.
  • For the celebration of the Feast of San Vicente, that Father Jason Granado and the parishioners will be lead by the Holy Spirit to be faithful disciples of Christ, we pray.
  • For those who suffer mental, physical or spiritual anguish, we pray.
  • That the faithful departed may enjoy eternal life through the crucified Lord, we pray.

Presider: Most loving Father, our help and our salvation, accept the prayers of your children, the flock gathered in the name of your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
