6th Sunday of Easter B II

Presider: Christ calls us his friends and commands us to love one another. Let us show that love by the sincerity of our prayers today.

  • For the holy Catholic Church, that by living the new commandment of love we may bring God to all people, we pray.
  • For those who hold public office in our nation, that they may be guided by God’s grace to serve us with honesty and impartiality, we pray.
  • For married people, that, each day through joy and sorrow, they may take to heart the Lord’s command to love one another, we pray.
  • For the children who be receiving their First Holy Communion that their devotion to Jesus present in the Eucharist, all people may come to adore him, and for the coming of the Holy Spirit to renew our community, especially those receiving the Sacrament of confirmation, that his gifts will give us renewed apostolic zeal, we pray.
  • That the people of Tinian, and Father Rey Rosal, who honor St Joseph the Worker as patron, and that all workers may be blessed this day and that their rights may be preserved, their conditions kept safe, and their environment made friendly, we pray.
  • On this Cancer Awareness, we pray for all cancer patients, and all the sick, that the Lord of mercy will give them speedy recovery and patience in their suffering, we pray.
  • May our young people in the diocese grow in grace and become effective witness to friends and family as they meet together for fellowship, fun and to learn more about their faith in this years youth gathering, we pray.
  • For our departed brothers and sisters, that God may grant them an eternal home through the Masses and prayers of the Church, we pray.

Presider: Father, receive our prayers with that same love with which you sent your Son to be the sacrifice who takes away our sins. We ask this, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
