PRESIDER: By self-denial we take up the cross each day, walking in the footsteps of our Master. Let us pray for others, and so cast off the selfishness which keeps us apart from God.

1. For our Pope and all Bishops, who carry the cross of pastoral care and responsibility, we pray.

2. For world leaders who are involved in conflicts that they come to a peaceful and just solution to their problems, we pray.

3. For dry souls thirsting for God, we pray.

4. For our community on this Labor Day weekend, that our talents and labors reap a rich harvest, we pray.
>>> Para i taotao-ta pa’go guini gi simanan Labor Day, kosa ki u meggai kosecha ginen i che’cho’-ta yan talento-ta, ta fanmanayuyot.
5. For the people of Houston, Texas especially those who are injured and the homeless who are suffering from the destruction of Hurricane Harvey, that we may be generous to the victims, we pray.

6. For all the sick and for people who have much pain but little hope, that they find someone to care for them, we pray.

7. For the dead who desired to save their souls, we pray.
>>> Para i manmatai ni hagas madeseha na u masatba i anten-niha, ta fanmanayuyot.
PRESIDER: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, receive the prayers of a pilgrim People, seeking to discover your will, by walking in the footsteps of your Son, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.
