23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Presider: God calls on us to intercede in prayer and in deed for the welfare of our brothers and sisters.

  • For our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and all Bishops, that they may be effective in bringing back the lost sheep, we pray.
  • For the church, that all the members have a conversion of heart and make known the justice of God, we pray.
  • For the world community, that arbitration, negotiation and reconciliation replace the tyranny of war and oppression, we pray.
  • For those whose hearts are hardened, that they know forgiveness and freedom from anger, and that they live as people of mercy, we pray.
  • For the victims of Hurricane Irma who are suffering especially the people of Florida, Antigua, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, the Turks, Caicos, Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and all the other’s that are suffering through natural disasters at this time. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around them, and let them feel His comfort and may they be helped quickly with their every need, we pray.
  • For firemen and women, that God protects them from danger in the performance of their duty, we pray.
  • For our deceased relatives, benefactors and friends, that they may receive the kingdom prepared for them, we pray.

Presider: Faithful God, with us always, bless the work of our hands. Help us to unleash the power of your forgiveness and love. We ask this through Christ the Lord. Amen
