27th Sunday in Ordinary Time A I

Presider: We worry about many things in this life. St Paul tells us that there is no need to worry, but that we should “ask God with prayer and thanksgiving” for what we need.

  • For the Church of God, that the beloved vineyard of the Lord may produce its fruits for His glory, we pray.
  • For this world, that people will let God play a role in government and the rule of law, we pray.
  • For peacemakers, that their efforts will bring real peace in families, in countries and between nations, we pray.
  • For the people of Las Vegas, devastated by murderous violence, will know the prayerful support of people of goodwill everywhere: praying eternal rest for the dead, healing for the wounded, comfort for those grieving and distressed, and courage for those assisting the victims, we pray.
  • That Fr. Isidro Ogumoro and the parishioners at San Francisco de Borja, Rota, as well as Father Felipe Rollon, Jr., and the parishioners of Santa Remedios, Saipan,  that they may work together to further the kingdom as they celebrate their Patron, we pray.
  • For the sick and all those of our community, broken by illness, accident, loss or stress, that they become whole, we pray.
  • For our deceased relatives, benefactors and friends, that they may receive the kingdom prepared for them, we pray.

Presider: Father, your Son was the stone rejected. We accept him with thanksgiving, and confidently bring these prayers to you, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
