Gospel Reflection for the Fourth Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday)

Gospel Reflection for the Fourth Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday) By Sr. Emma O. Lusterio, SJBP

Join Sr. Emma O. Lusterio, SJBP Director of the Office of Religious Education for the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa, for a profound reflection on the Fourth Sunday of Lent—Laetare Sunday.

As we reach this midpoint of our Lenten journey, Sr. Emma reminds us that even in a season of penance, there is room for joy and the hope of renewal. Drawing from the Gospel account of the man born blind, she explores the transformative power of Jesus as the “Light of the World.”

In this video, Sr. Emma guides us through:

• The Journey of Faith: How the man born blind reflects the path of every disciple—from seeing Jesus as a “man” to confessing Him as the Messiah.

• The Grace of Baptism: Understanding how we are pulled from darkness into the light of faith, and our subsequent call to become that light for others.

• A Call to Awareness: A challenging look at the “blindness” still affecting our society, our Church, and our own hearts.

As we move closer to Easter, let this reflection help open your eyes, mind, and heart to the Good News.
